The European Technology Chamber seeks a Sustainability Expert for Manufacturing Council, a fully remote position. Sustainability Expert for Manufacturing Council (m/f/d) – 100% Remote
Your daily tasks:
Strategy Development and Implementation:
– Formulate and implement strategies to enhance the sustainable transformation of the technology industry in line with EU Green Deal, incorporating European sustainability standards such as ESRS, CSRD and EU GBC.
– Execute strategies aimed at transforming the technology industry into environmentally sustainable structures, aligning with globally recognized benchmarks such as LEED BREEAM and equivalent European standards.
Sustainability Assessments:
– Conduct comprehensive assessments of current practices to identify areas for improvement and enhance sustainability performance in the Manufacturing sector.
– Monitor and analyze KPIs related to sustainability metrics for industries in the Manufacturing sector.
Collaboration and Integration:
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and facility managers, to integrate sustainability principles into industry design, manufacturing, and operations.
– Work with external partners, suppliers, and certification bodies to advance sustainability goals and certifications in the Manufacturing sector.
Reporting and Compliance:
– Prepare and submit of sustainability reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
– Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and regulations in sustainability reporting and green building initiatives for industries in the Manufacturing sector.
– Attend webinars with industry experts within the Manufacturing Council.
– Contribute insights and participate in the creation of publications, including White Papers, Position Papers, and Sector Papers.
Event Moderation and Presentation:
– Moderate events and webinars, ensuring smooth operation and engagement.
– Provide expert presentations on sustainability topics at webinars, and other events.
Consultancy Services:
– Offer consultancy services to internal and external stakeholders on sustainability initiatives and practices in the Manufacturing sector.
ESG Expertise:
– Develop and implement Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
– Conduct ESG assessments and audits to identify risks and opportunities.
– Monitor and report on ESG performance, ensuring transparency and compliance with relevant frameworks and standards.
– Collaborate with internal teams to integrate ESG considerations into business operations and decision-making processes in the Chemical & Pharmaceutical sector.
What we are looking for:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability /Environmental studies.
– Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in sustainability reporting within Chemical & Pharmaceutical industry.
– In-depth knowledge of European sustainability standards and frameworks such as ESRS, CSRD, EU GBC, LEED, or BREEAM. Expertise in ESG strategies and reporting.
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex data and identify opportunities for improvement.
– Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
– Certification in sustainability or Chemical & Pharmaceutical sector is advantageous.
