The Town of Wayland is hiring a full-time Sustainability Coordinator to support its Climate Action Mobilization Plan. The Town of Wayland seeks candidates passionate about climate action for the full-time Sustainability Coordinator position. This position is responsible for supporting Wayland’s Climate Action Mobilization Plan (CAMP) by assisting residents and local businesses to adopt sustainable practices. The Sustainability Coordinator provides support for sustainability-related capital projects and tracks progress to ensure alignment with departmental goals and the town’s climate objectives. As a member of the Facilities Team, the Sustainability Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the Assistant Director in project coordination for energy for sustainability-related capital projects. This position also assists with daily facilities operations while also working on sustainability data collection and analysis on key sustainability performance indicators to ensure Wayland meets their sustainability goals. Salary Range: $62,361 to $81,367 depending upon qualifications.

Successful candidates will have a passion for climate action, desire for career growth, strong communication skills, an understanding of construction management and an entrepreneurial approach to tackling unique challenges. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in environmental studies or related field and 1-3 years of experience preferred.
