Job Description

TERRACON is hiring a Sustainability Coordinator in Omaha, NE, requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3-5 years of experience. Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline practiced by Terracon, including environmental health, industrial hygiene, safety, building science, or environmental science. You should also have at least three years of related experience or a minimum of five years' related experience in lieu of a degree. Additionally, you must possess valid driver's license with acceptable violation history and preferred certifications, including asbestos building inspector, asbestos management planner, asbestos project designer, NIOSH 582 or 582E PCM analysis certified, lead inspector and risk assessor, and radon measurement specialist Nebraska.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct building inspections for asbestos-containing building materials in accordance with AHERA guidelines and state regulations.
• Perform air monitoring and visual inspections during asbestos abatement projects.
• Sample painted coatings (via paint chip or XRF) in residential, commercial, and industrial settings in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Calibrate field monitoring equipment such as PID, combustible gas indicator, indoor air quality meters, and air sampling pumps.
• Sampling for noise levels within industrial settings.
• Sampling suspect microbial growth.
• Assist with radon measurement surveys and reporting.
• Performing indoor air quality assessments.
• Perform report work after field assessments.
