Principal or Associate Sustainability Energy Consultant

An exceptional career opportunity awaits a dynamic and innovative Principal or Associate Sustainability Energy Consultant with an award-winning engineering consultancy and a leader in sustainable development, delivering impactful solutions across sectors.

As a Sustainability Energy Consultant, you will be part of a collaborative team of engineers, designers, and technical specialists dedicated to creating cutting-edge solutions for complex design and engineering projects.

This is a hybrid role, working 3 days in the office and can be based in either Bournemouth or Reading.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead large-scale projects for high-profile clients, managing project teams and resource allocation
• Conduct workshops with the client and designers, presenting information clearly and effectively
• Perform various sustainability assessments, including carbon modeling, building performance and energy strategies
• Oversee environmental assessments (BREEAM, WELL, HQM, etc.), ensuring progress towards net-zero carbon objectives from design to completion
• Collaborate on research and development initiatives to remain at the forefront of industry sustainability trends and best practices
• Guide junior team members, delegate tasks effectively and providing constructive feedback

Key Experience:
• Experience within a sustainability or engineering consultancy
• A relevant degree in a sustainability-related field or engineering
• Strong communication skills and a passion for teamwork in a collaborative environment
• Experience with dynamic modelling for thermal comfort and overheating risk assessments
• Proficient with producing and supporting planning submissions for sustainability initiatives
