Job Description
Lewis Davey is hiring a Supply Chain Sustainability Lead in the UK to implement supplier engagement strategies supporting the Net Zero Transition Plan. Responsibilities include monitoring supplier performance, managing governance processes for non-compliance, and developing sustainability strategies. The role requires expertise in supply chain sustainability, project management, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time position with no specific degree requirements.

The Supply Chain Sustainability Lead is responsible for executing the supplier engagement strategy to support the client’s Net Zero Transition Plan. This role involves engaging with suppliers to drive sustainability initiatives, monitoring and tracking their progress, and addressing non-compliance through governance processes. Additionally, the role will contribute to the development of supplier strategies that align with the organisation’s sustainability goals.
Specific Accountabilities
Supplier Engagement - Implement supplier engagement strategies to ensure alignment with the Net Zero Transition Plan, actively collaborating with identified suppliers to promote sustainable practices.
Progress Monitoring - Track and monitor the engagement and performance of suppliers, ensuring progress is documented and aligned with organisational targets.
Governance Process Management - Lead governance processes to address and resolve non-compliance issues among suppliers, ensuring accountability and adherence to sustainability standards.
Supplier Strategy Development - Develop and refine supplier sustainability strategies to meet evolving organisational and environmental goals.
Stakeholder Collaboration - Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support supplier sustainability initiatives and ensure seamless integration into broader ESG efforts
Key Skills
• Expertise in supplier engagement and supply chain sustainability practices.
• Strong project management and organisational skills to manage multiple supplier interactions and initiatives.
• Ability to develop and implement strategies that align supplier practices with sustainability objectives.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for engaging and influencing suppliers.
• Proficiency in monitoring and tracking supplier performance metrics.
• Knowledge of governance and compliance processes related to supply chain management.
Desirable
• Experience in addressing non-compliance issues in supplier governance.
• Understanding of global supply chain dynamics and sustainability trends.
• Proficiency in using data management tools to track supplier performance.
• Advanced knowledge of ESG reporting standards and frameworks.
