Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Radar Architecture Engineer to support the DARC program, located in Colorado Springs, CO, Redondo Beach, CA, or Baltimore, MD. The role involves developing radar subsystems, including system architecture, requirements development, algorithm creation, and performance analysis. The engineer will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure system performance meets mission objectives and will engage with various stakeholders throughout the process.

Come be a part of our mission. Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Radar Architecture Engineer to join our team supporting our DARC program. This position can be located in Colorado Springs, CO, Redondo Beach, CA, or Baltimore, MD. The selected engineer will perform as a member of an interdisciplinary team on a key effort to develop novel and innovative solutions to advanced technical problems. The successful engineer will contribute to the overall development of radar subsystems, including System Architecture/Concept Development, Candidate Technology Trade Studies, Requirements Development and Derivation, Algorithm Development, Performance Analysis, Data Analysis, and work with cross-disciplinary hardware, software, and firmware teams. Essential Functions: Support development and integration of radar subsystems and components to meet platform mission objectives Requirements development, analysis, maturation and implementation translating customer requirements into hardware and software specifications Performing functional and performance analyses Development of mathematical algorithms for mode/sensor implementation Develops software to model behavior of systems in real-time and constructive simulations of sensors and other platforms. Solicit input from various stakeholders, synthesize data, and communicate results to various levels of leadership within the organization. Perform mission engineering activities to ensure continuity between desired operational capabilities and delivered system performance, through the Systems Engineering “V”. Ensure performance capabilities of new systems and architectures are traded against cost and mission requirements and assess operational effectiveness of existing and emerging systems and capabilities in representative operational environments. Guiding the team through development/implementation activities.
