Job Description

This position coordinates and supports the Colorado Food Systems Advisory Council, a legislatively mandated body comprised of 23 representatives from government and non-government entities.
• Serves as the university's primary point of contact for food systems initiatives seeking collaboration and support.
• Collaborates with the State Coordinator of the NW and Rocky Mountain Regional Food Business Center to fulfill Colorados engagement initiatives.
• Pursues external funds to advance key priorities and projects identified by the COFSAC Council.
• Supports externally funded projects through meeting facilitation, writing grant reports, and evaluating results/impacts.
• Completes all COFSAC required reporting and evaluation in a timely manner.
• Secures funding for graduate student research assistants.
• Supports internal and external communication strategy, including e-newsletters and websites.
Responsibilities:
• Provides staff leadership to COFSAC, a legislatively created advisory council.
• Works with COFSAC leadership and members to identify priority projects and develop stakeholder relationships.
• Prepares agendas and financial reports for quarterly meetings and completes all necessary reporting.
• Supervises administrative assistant.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree + 3 years of experience in project management related to food systems policy, research, and engagement.
• Demonstrated project and group management skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Expertise in Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Extensive professional experience in project management related to food systems policy, research, and engagement.
• Advanced degree in project management related to food systems policy, research, and engagement.
• Experience raising and managing external funds.
Statewide Engagement Duties:
• Coordinates work among complex groups.
• Facilitates meetings, both in person and virtually, among diverse membership.
