Amazon is seeking a Sr Sustainability Specialist for its Worldwide Sustainability team in Seattle, WA. The role involves leading cross-functional sustainability initiatives and managing complex projects to drive transformational change. Candidates should have experience in operational efficiency for sustainability programs. The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazons scale speed and ability to build invent and simplify a more resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally and drive solutions that enable our customers businesses and the world to become more sustainable.
The Strategic Planning & Operations team builds and manages programs that embed sustainability across core business practices and creates mechanisms that accelerate adoption and maintenance of sustainability initiatives. We are looking for a Sr. Sustainability Specialist to lead architect and orchestrate missioncritical enterprisewide initiatives that drive transformational change.
You will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of complex crossfunctional projects that have broad reaching impacts. You will develop and maintain mechanisms aimed at streamlining processes and manage expectations across a wide range of stakeholders including Tech Science Legal Finance and Program.
The ideal candidate would have demonstrated success in developing operationally efficient mechanisms for sustainability programs.
Key job responsibilities
Architect and implement crossprogram initiatives overseeing and evaluating performance against critical benchmarks.
Establish and maintain analytical frameworks to assess adherence and operational efficiency.
Design innovative solutions incorporating automated processes to tackle persistent operational challenges.
Exercise independent judgment to guide internal and external stakeholders towards desired outcomes.

Bachelors degree
5 years experience in a Program Management role or experience in managing programs in a large scale multigeographical high growth organization. Ideally supporting a sustainability initiative
Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and work crossfunctionally to align and solve shared problems
Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to propose complex solutions and explanations in writing.
Ability to understand troubleshoot and describe complex technical processes and issues to nontechnical colleagues.
Experience working with high attention to detail; preparing metrics inputs into reporting to communicate key performance indicators to stakeholders and Sr leadership
MBA or Advanced Degree in a Sustainability domain
PMP certified

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
