Job Description
AngloGold Ashanti seeks a Specialist in Sustainability & Capital Projects Technology in Johannesburg. The role involves providing technical Digital Technology support and engaging with stakeholders to enhance IT applications for Corporate Services. Objective
This role is business-facing, being responsible for delivering technical Digital Technology (DT) support and stakeholder engagement within the areas of Sustainability and Capital Projects.True global reach to all operations and corporate functions, with interactions covering all levels up to ExCo.The role holder will support the Manager to ensure that DT provides reliable and resilient IT applications and platforms for the Corporate Services functions, with mature global services, including help desk support, sustainment, material change projects and strategic positioning. The role holder will work closely with the Manager to develop and maintain relationships with all internal stakeholders to ensure business leaders in Corporate Services have single points of contact for their information technology requirements, including roadmaps, project definition, sustainability, help-desk support, etc. for information technology integration into the business, which will allow the organisation to make better decisions, supported with the right process, and with the right data at the right time.
Education & Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Sustainability related fields
Experience
• 5+ years providing project management experience delivering new platforms and applications, and providing help desk support
• Experience working in the mining industry, preferably with exposure to Sustainability and Capital Project systems
• Experience working with vendors

• Proven project and change management experience
• Ability to facilitate business continuity scenarios, via the recovery of platforms and applications
• Desire to drive continuous improvement, with a strong attention to detail
• Self-starter, with the ability to work both with a team or independently
• Experience working with diverse communities and groups

Work Accountabilities
• Support the collaborative development and deployment of strategy for the Operational Technology (OT) function with senior functional stakeholders
• Co-develop the governance of OT applications and platforms for the Sustainability and Capital Project functions.
• Collaborate with DT peers and functional, regional and site stakeholders to ensure all digital platforms are managed and maintained and provide reliable services at each operation.
• Provide professional and friendly help desk support of digital technology issues within Sustainability and Capital Project functions by troubleshooting, coordinating resolution and escalating to management where required.
• Effective communication with vendors, facilitate monthly meetings with vendors and effective contract management.
• Cultivate strong and productive relationships with the Sustainability and Capital Project functions groups and appropriate senior leaders to provide a single point of contact and accountability for the services provided.
