We are seeking on behalf of our client an experienced Solar PV Designer to join their team in Newcastle.

You will be responsible for creating bespoke solar PV system designs that meet client requirements and comply with industry standards, focusing on optimising energy output.

Role:
• To design and develop Commercial-scale Solar PV systems
• Assisting with site assessments and feasibility studies to prepare detailed layouts, SLDs and schematics.
• Collaborating with internal sales and installation teams to ensure cost-effective and practical designs.
• Providing technical guidance to internal departments and clients alike and assisting with proposal preparation and technical documentation.

Requirements
• Experience as a Solar PV Design Engineer
• Proficient with PV*Sol, AutoCAD or similar
• Up to date knowledge of UK building regulations and renewable energy industry standards
• Degree or diploma in renewable energy, electrical engineering or a related field is advantageous
• Able to work office based in Newcastle
