The Opportunity: Join us as a Solar Energy Production Estimation Expert, where you will play a pivotal role in providing technical due diligence for renewable energy projects, including solar and battery energy storage. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and financial analysts, and be a vital part of ensuring stakeholders understand solar production estimating methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Compile and analyze data from contracts and technical documents.Conduct detailed analyses and create reports and presentations based on findings.Perform solar resource and yield simulation of PV power plants using PVsyst.Develop regression-based forecasts of energy production using operational data.Review production estimates to ensure they meet commercial and contractual standards.Engage with project teams to effectively communicate analysis results to clients.Stay informed about industry best practices in solar production estimating.Foster knowledge transfer to elevate the capabilities of team members.Maintain and enhance relationships with client management and team members.Utilize best practices to improve tools and techniques for efficiency.Industry Knowledge:

Possess a strong foundation in renewable energy technologies including solar PV and battery energy storage.Demonstrate experience with solar production estimating software and methodologies.Apply specialized knowledge to produce complex analytical work and solutions.Proactively anticipate and resolve technical challenges.Present and advocate for data-driven conclusions and recommendations.Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.4+ years of experience in a business or consulting environment.Preferred Qualifications:

An engineering or technical degree is preferred, though degrees in finance or economics will be considered with relevant experience.Direct experience with solar production estimating tools.Understanding of solar design and resource variability.Familiarity with data analysis tools, like Python, is a plus.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.Work Environment: We offer hybrid or flexible working options after 90 days of employment, based on manager discretion and job performance. Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
