Job Description

Clean Energy Fuels is seeking a Service Technician I in Douglasville, GA, to maintain and repair CNG, LNG, and Hydrogen fueling systems. Responsibilities include inspecting and adjusting electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring safe operation of fueling locations, and documenting service activities. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least 2 years of related experience. This is a full-time position requiring travel between company sites.
About the position

Clean Energy is on a mission to transform the way the world fuels its vehicles, focusing on reducing pollution from the transportation industry through the use of natural gas fuel. As a Service Technician I, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing equipment related to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), and Hydrogen fueling systems. This position is essential to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of fueling locations, which is vital for our commitment to clean energy solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and adjusting both electrical and mechanical equipment. This includes a variety of tasks such as checking electrical wiring, panels, and motors, as well as mechanical components like compressors and pumps. You will also be tasked with making periodic inspections of fueling locations to ensure they are operating correctly and safely. Your ability to detect and correct faulty components will be key to maintaining the integrity of our fueling systems. Additionally, you will be expected to keep fueling locations clean and well-maintained, which involves physical tasks such as picking up trash and cleaning equipment. Documentation of all service activities in our Field Service Automation software is also a critical part of your responsibilities. This position requires a valid driver's license as you will need to travel between company sites to perform your duties. Overall, this role is vital to our operations, and we are looking for someone who is not only technically skilled but also committed to our mission of promoting clean energy.

Responsibilities
• Inspect, maintain and adjust electrical equipment such as wiring, panels, and motors.

• Repair, replace, and adjust malfunctioning electrical equipment to restore proper operating condition.
,
• Inspect, maintain and adjust mechanical equipment such as compressors, pumps, and engines.
,
• Repair, replace, and adjust malfunctioning mechanical equipment to restore proper operating condition.
,
• Make periodic inspections of CNG and/or LNG fueling locations and equipment.
,
• Detect and correct faulty and malfunctioning mechanical and electrical components related to fueling equipment.
,
• Clean and maintain fueling locations, including trash removal and equipment polishing.
,
• Update and document all activity and service orders in Field Service Automation software.
,
• Install, remove and modify fueling locations and equipment.
,
• Drive to or between company sites to perform job responsibilities.

Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Basic mechanical or electrical knowledge.
,
• Basic computer knowledge, especially using service software.
,
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.

• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively.

• Mathematical skills to perform basic calculations and interpret data.

Nice-to-haves
• Strong electrical and/or electronics skills.
