Job Description
The Senior Service Technician at e-STORAGE in England is responsible for commissioning and maintaining Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), ensuring compliance with Long Term Service Agreements. The role requires extensive experience in renewable energy equipment, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office and CMMS software. The position involves significant travel (over 50% of the time) and requires a valid driver's license.
About the Position
The Senior Service Technician is a key member of our service team, responsible for commissioning and maintaining CSI Energy Storage's Solbank Storage Power Block (SPB). This involves ensuring obligations under Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA's) of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects are met, and providing onsite diagnostic, troubleshooting and hands on support to maintain equipment and achieve availability and capacity guarantees.
To succeed in this role, you must have experience with BESS or renewable power generation equipment in a service environment. You will also need to possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Office Applications, and previous experience with CMMS software programs.
Responsibilities
• Commission CSI Energy Storage's Solbank Storage Power Block
• Preventative and Corrective Maintenance of SPB's to adhere to warranty requirements
• Obligations for BESS equipment under LTSA's which may include: Energy Storage Cabinets (ESC's), Power Conversion Stations (PCS), Ring Main Units (RMU's) / Switchgear, Transformers, SCADA and networking devices
Qualifications and Requirements
• Qualified Electrical Technician
• Minimum 8 plus years' relevant work experience in a service environment preferably in renewable energy
• Previous training and knowledge of inverters
• SCADA experience will be beneficial
• Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems and Energy Storage system applications is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office Applications (Word, Excel)
• Previous experience with a CMMS software program preferred
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• First Aid Trained
• Must be able to travel to regional locations as needed (over 50% of time)
