About the position
The Senior Sustainability Engineer at Skanska will play a crucial role in supporting sustainability efforts within the company. This position involves working closely with project teams to educate them on green building strategies and ensuring that sustainability goals are tracked and documented for certification efforts such as LEED and WELL. The engineer will also lead the collection and reporting of carbon data to meet milestone reduction goals and mentor junior engineers in sustainability practices.
Responsibilities
• Support sustainability efforts of Skanska USA Building.

• Educate project teams on their sustainability responsibilities and green building strategies.

• Track and document project sustainability goals for certification efforts (LEED, WELL, etc.).

• Lead the collection and reporting of carbon data in line with reduction goals for 2030 and 2045.

• Coach junior Sustainability Engineers and project teams on reduction tactics.
,
• Assist in training and research for the Green Project Solutions team.
Requirements
• 4+ years of building construction or sustainability-related experience.
,
• 1+ years experience with LEED or similar project certifications.
,
• 1+ years experience creating forms, templates, and meeting materials.
,
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields or 8 years equivalent experience plus a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience.
