Senior Software Engineer – Platform, Operations, DevOps

REGENT is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Platform, Operations, DevOps to design and develop software and data infrastructure for their innovative seaglider technology. The role involves managing data pipelines, integrating hardware and software, and supporting engineering teams. Candidates must have experience in software hardware integration and testing. This is a full-time position based in North Kingstown, RI, focused on transforming coastal transportation.
At REGENT, we’re on a mission to revolutionize regional transportation between coastal cities, by developing the seaglider, a first of its kind wing-in-ground-effect craft that operates a few meters off the water's surface and combines the speed of an airplane with the low operating costs of a boat. With existing battery technology, the Seaglider will travel routes up to 180 miles and up to 500 miles with next-gen batteries.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Platform, Operations, DevOps to lead the design and development of software test, integration, and comprehensive data infrastructure platforms, critical to powering our seagliders. As part of our team, you’ll work on everything from data pipelines to automation solutions, and will directly contribute to the seamless integration of hardware and software for robust data collection, testing, and analysis.

What You'll Do:
As a Sr. Software Engineer – Platform, Operations, DevOps at REGENT, you’ll be at the heart of building the digital infrastructure that will enable the successful deployment of our seagliders. You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end data pipeline for test data, managing both on-premisesand cloud-based development operations to support our engineering teams. This includes overseeing everything from data ingestion and storage to live streaming and access. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge hardware and software, ensuring we capture and analyze critical data for vehicle software testing.
