Job Description

The Johns Hopkins University is hiring a Senior Research Project Coordinator to manage complex research projects, assist in goal setting, budget formulation, and ensure compliance with protocols. Responsibilities include developing study procedures, data collection systems, and conducting literature searches. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience. The position is hybrid, requiring some on-site work at the School of Public Health in Baltimore, MD.
We are seeking a Sr. Research Project Coordinator to oversee the day‑to‑day activities of a single complex or multiple research projects and make independent decisions that impact the conduct of the research. They will assist in goal setting and creating implementation plans, contribute to budget formulation, communications, and data systems.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Assist Principal Investigator or more senior research staff to ensure operational feasibility of proposed protocol/study design.
Develop standard operating procedures and data collection forms based on understanding of underlying study design.
Develop or oversee design and implementation of study procedures and tools for data collection, e.g. participant interviews, administer questionnaires; background research, laboratory processing, etc.
Ensure compliance with all protocols, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Participate in developing study budget.
Set up data collection system and ensure validity of study data.
Organize and quality control study data.
Recommend and implement changes to protocol operations based on results and goals.
Conduct literature searches to provide background information.
Abstract and index information based on knowledge of subject matter.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Three years of related experience.
Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's of Public Health (MPH) or other related degree field.
