Job Description
Johns Hopkins University is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor in the Economics of Sustainable Energy & Climate. The role focuses on energy and environmental economics, inviting candidates from related fields. Successful applicants will join the Department of Economics and the Ralph O'Connor Sustainable Energy Institute, contributing to research and collaboration on sustainable energy initiatives. The salary ranges from $184,500 to $209,000.

The Department of Economics (https://econ.jhu.edu/) and the Ralph O'Connor Sustainable Energy Institute (ROSEI) (https://energyinstitute.jhu.edu/) at Johns Hopkins University seek junior faculty candidates in the fields of energy and environmental economics as part of a cluster search related to sustainable energy and climate. Applicants from related fields, such as industrial organization, public economics, time series econometrics, environmental macroeconomics, or applied microeconomics, with applications to energy and the environment are welcomed. The appointment will be in the Department of Economics. Successful candidates will join ROSEI, a fast growing endowed university-wide institute with 17 core and 40 affiliated faculty (https://energyinstitute.jhu.edu/core-and-associate-faculty/). This position provides an opportunity to develop a world-class program of research in sustainable energy as part of this new Institute, and collaborate with researchers at ROSEI's NSF Global Climate Center EPICS (https://epics.center/), DOE Center of Excellence ARROW (https://arrowosw.org/) and Net-Zero Industry Policy Lab (https://www.netzeropolicylab.com/). The search committee includes representatives from economics, applied mathematics, engineering and public policy.
