Senior Project Electrical Engineer

JAM is seeking a Senior Project Electrical Engineer for remote work with occasional site visits in Scotland. The role requires over 10 years of experience in Grid Transmission and renewable energy projects, focusing on HV/MV/LV systems. Responsibilities include leading engineering delivery, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting project execution. A Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering and experience with UK grid operators are essential.
Senior Electrical Project Engineer £75 per hour Remote working with occasional site visits (Scotland) Immediate start available Are you an Electrical Project Engineer with at least 10 years experience in Grid Transmission and renewable power projects? Lead the engineering delivery of renewable energy projects from concept to commissioning across HV/MV/LV systems. Ensure designs are compliant, buildable, and cost-effective while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and supporting project execution. Key Skills & Responsibilities Required: 10+ years in Electrical Project Engineering (renewables preferred) Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering Experience working with UK grid operators (DNO/TNO) Proven track record delivering infrastructure or energy projects End-to-end engineering ownership (design ? construction ? commissioning ? handover) Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems, including grid connections (DNO/TNO interfaces) Experience with Protection & Control, SCADA, and OEM integration Ensure compliance with UK/European standards (BS EN, ENA, G99/100, Grid Code, CDM) Develop and oversee Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) Support FATs and ensure equipment meets specifications Construction & Site Support Provide technical support during construction (RFIs, redlines, as-builts) Ensure QA/QC alignment and progressive assurance Strong understanding of electrical safety (LOTO, permits, switching) If this sounds like a good fit for you please get in touch with Kate Blackwell at JAM ASAP
