The Company

I am working with a leading global renewable energy developer focused on delivering utility-scale battery energy storage (BESS) projects. With a strong presence in key international markets, the company specializes in the development, financing, and operation of utility-scale clean energy assets.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Power Systems Engineer / Grid Connection Manager to support the Head of Grid.

You will work on everything from early-stage due diligence of grid/network/connection aspects of prospective projects through detailed planning, management of generator performance standards modelling, connection agreement negotiation and commissioning of plant.

What You’ll Do
• End-to-end management of the grid application process for projects
• Establish relationships with grid stakeholders, public and private local grid network operators.
• Undertake feasibility studies to assess the merits and risks of potential connection options.
• Assist in the negotiation and finalisation of grid agreements and relevant permits for the project pipeline.

What You’ll Bring:
• Electrical Engineering Degree
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in power systems engineering, grid modeling, and connection processes
• Proficiency with PSSE & PSCAD
• Strong understanding of the NEM, generator performance standards, and connection frameworks
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, consultants, and regulatory approvals
