Position Summary: The Senior Packaging Engineer will play a critical role in developing, optimizing, and implementing innovative packaging solutions that ensure product integrity, sustainability, and consumer appeal. This role requires a deep understanding of packaging materials, processes, and technologies to support the company's growth and sustainability goals.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, and execution of packaging solutions for new and existing products.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Marketing, Quality, and Operations, to ensure packaging meets functional, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements.Conduct material evaluations, cost analysis, and performance testing to select the most suitable packaging materials and suppliers.Oversee the development and implementation of packaging specifications, drawings, and documentation.Manage packaging projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and sustainable packaging practices.Troubleshoot packaging issues and provide technical support to manufacturing and supply chain teams.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to drive continuous improvement in packaging solutions.Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior packaging engineers.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in packaging engineering within the food and beverage industry or related industryProven track record of successful packaging development and commercialization projects.Strong knowledge of packaging materials, equipment, and processes.Experience with sustainability initiatives and eco-friendly packaging solutions.Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
