Senior Mechanical Designer

REGENT is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer in North Kingstown, RI, to develop 3D models and manufacturing-ready drawings for their electric seaglider. The role involves leveraging CAD systems like Siemens NX and Teamcenter, maintaining CAD standards, and collaborating with the engineering team. REGENT is backed by prominent investors and aims to launch its prototype soon, with significant orders from major industry operators.
REGENT is building the seaglider; the first electric flying machine that will transport commercial passengers. With a vehicle that never flies higher than a few meters off the water, we unlock the ability to fly twice as far as an electric aircraft, and certification by maritime authorities which will let us fly first passengers by mid-decade.

Reporting to the Principal Structures Engineer, as a Senior Mechanical Designer, you will be embedded in the engineering team, and rapidly turn concepts into 3D models and drawings in NX. You will be a crucial team member, turning design concepts into manufacturing-ready drawings for REGENT’s seagliders.

You will have the opportunity to leverage your knowledge, experience, and creativity to maintain, upgrade, and expand the Seimens NX, Teamcenter Product Data Management (PDM), and other CAD PDM/Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) systems in a young organization. You will develop, implement, and maintain CAD standards, templates, libraries, configurations, and workflows.
