Invenergy LLC is seeking a Senior Manager, Renewable Procurement (Energy Storage) in Chicago, IL. The role involves leading supply agreement negotiations for energy storage equipment, managing vendor relationships, and coordinating with internal teams. This position will remain open for application based on business need, which may be before or after the 3-day posting window.Job DescriptionPosition OverviewThe Senior Manager, Renewable Procurement (Energy Storage) will lead supply agreement negotiations for BESS equipment, and support procurement strategy.This position will work from Invenergy's office in downtown Chicago, IL.ResponsibilitiesLead and/or oversee negotiations for energy storage equipment supply contracts. Ensure that all commercial terms and conditions and technical design requirements are in line with or exceed market expectations and align with all applicable project agreements including construction agreements and project sale agreements.Identify key risks, and resolve supplier disputes or complex contract issues, guiding team members in developing resolution strategies while maintaining supplier relationships.Serve as the key interface between internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Project Management, Finance and Development teams, and the supplier.Lead BESS RFPs for key projects in coordination with Engineering, Construction, and Operations teams. Manage and evaluate vendor bid responses, analyze procurement options to drive decision making in vendor and product selection.Coordinate closely with Origination and Pre-Construction to stay up to date with project timelines, project sizing and equipment requirements. Identify and surface procurement risks as necessary. Support procurement strategy for Invenergy’s portfolio of BESS projects, based on technical and commercial considerations, and supplier evaluationDevelop and maintain relationships with major manufacturers and equipment suppliers, thus supporting vendor evaluation and procurement strategy.Drive process improvements, and other internal initiatives. Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, and Operations teams to improve future sourcing and contracting strategy.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related field.8+ years of experience in energy industry, preferably in procurement, project management, engineering or supply chain functions.Experience building and managing teams of professionals.Strong commercial negotiation skills with an understanding of the contractual aspects of procurement.Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and communications skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Occasional travel to project sites and manufacturing facilities will be required.Valid driver’s license.Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the futurePreferred QualificationsExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multi-task and manage deliverables for multiple projects concurrently.Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related fieldTechnical understanding of power generation equipment as well as project engineering and constructionProactive mindset for problem solving and risk mitigationMotivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilitiesBase Pay$ - $ USD Annual Bonus: 25% - 40%LI #On Site The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position.
