APA Group is seeking a Senior Integrity Corrosion Engineer for its Networks team in Kidman Park SA or Thomastown VIC. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Integrity Corrosion Engineer to join the Networks team in Kidman Park SA or Thomastown VIC, on a permanent and fulltime basis.

Reporting to the Team Lead - Pipeline Integrity, Networks, as a Senior Engineer, you would be required to apply advanced knowledge, skills and methods to solves complex technical problems and deliver high-quality specialist solutions to various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
• Review and support the ongoing operation, maintenance and improvement of the Cathodic Protection systems to ensure safe operating conditions, ongoing fitness for purpose, and compliance with asset regulations.
• Lead the development and maintenance of corrosion management policies, standards and procedures for APA Pipelines Integrity Management.
• Support the technical development of corrosion engineers by providing guidance, training, and mentorship to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Apply advanced knowledge and skills in engineering principles, methods, and tools to design, develop, implement, and evaluate engineering solutions that meet the needs and expectations of clients and stakeholders
• Solve complex technical problems and deliver high-quality specialist solutions, using innovation, creativity, and change management skills
• Communicate effectively and collaboratively with various audiences and disciplines, using appropriate verbal, written, and visual methods and tools

Your background
• Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline or strong equivalent relevant demonstrated work experience
• Ability to apply advanced engineering concepts, theories, and principles to various engineering problems and situations
• Effective practical application with the ability to use engineering methods, tools, and techniques to design, develop, implement, and evaluate engineering solutions in a systematic and rigorous manner
• Innovative and can generate original and novel ideas, and to adapt and improve existing engineering solutions to changing needs and contexts
• Act with integrity, honesty, and responsibility and uphold the values and principles of the engineering profession including adhering to relevant standards, codes, and regulations.

Networks manages and operates local distribution networks and transmission pipelines that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.

This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics. Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.
