Senior Environmental Scientist

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist in Naperville, IL, with 5-8 years of experience. We are seeking a self-motivated Senior Environmental Scientist, with 5-8 years of experience, to join our team in Naperville, Illinois, and become an integral part of our continued success. The full-time position will provide task-level support to project managers and engineers.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Environmental Site Assessments - Phase II, Soil Characterization
• Technical report preparation (Phase II Site Investigation, UST/LUST, Site Remediation Program)
• Construction Oversight
• Preparation of field documents (notes, forms, photographs, figures, logs)
• Technical understanding and interpretation of state voluntary clean-up programs and leaking underground storage programs
• Communicate project task status, schedule, findings, and recommendations to staff and senior consultants
• Coordinate with various vendors for project execution
• Occasionally, you may collaborate with co-workers in other departments.
• Local travel of 50-75% is expected
• Occasional travel out-of-state and 2nd/3rd shift or weekend work may be required from time to time

Qualifications and Skills
• Education: BA/BS in Science Related Discipline
• Years of Experience: 5-8 Years
• Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience with AutoCAD and GIS program
• Professional Licenses/Certifications Preferred: OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER
• A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are also required
• Medical approval by the Company's appointed physician, after employment is accepted, prior to the first day of work
