Anchor QEA is seeking a Senior Engineer for Water Resources and Habitat Restoration in Bellingham, WA. The role involves planning, analysis, design, and construction of habitat restoration projects. Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct hydrologic, hydraulic, and engineering analyses for habitat restoration and related projects.
• Oversee field data collection and perform complex analytical calculations independently.
• Prepare detailed design plans, specifications, and project cost estimates.
• Review technical project work and reports, ensuring the highest standards.
• Collaborate closely with conservation districts, NGOs, tribes, and other organizations to enhance natural systems and salmon habitats.
• Lead project teams, manage budget and tasks effectively.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff, ensuring quality control of their work.
• Identify opportunities for multi-disciplinary project acquisition focusing on sustainable ecological solutions.
• Develop client relationships and lead proposal efforts, while managing project scope, budgets, and timelines.
• Assist in developing construction planning documentation and provide on-site engineering support during construction.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil or water resources engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in river and stream restoration, fish passage design, or dam removal projects.
• At least 5 years of project management experience.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and overseeing project quality assurance.
• Field engineering and construction observation experience.
• Proficiency in hydrodynamic modeling software (such as HEC-RAS) and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of sediment transport, scour analysis, and related design for water bodies.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and fisheries biology specific to the Pacific Northwest.
