Position Overview:

The Senior ESS Engineer will lead commercial and industrial energy storage projects' design, integration, and commissioning. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

? Engineering Documentation Management: Maintain up-to-date manuals and internal and external documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

? Technical Documentation & Customer Project Support: Develop and maintain wiring diagrams, schematics, technical reports, and project-specific documentation for customers to ensure seamless communication and integration.

? Engineering Change Management: Oversee and implement engineering changes to improve product performance and reliability.

? Technical Leadership: Lead discussions with customers, partners, and stakeholders to provide technical guidance and solutions.

? Compliance & Standards: Ensure products and systems comply with UL, IEEE, NEC, and other relevant industry standards.

? Commissioning & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for the commissioning and troubleshooting of new installations.

? Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to integrate battery storage systems with solar PV, EV chargers, and other distributed energy resources.

? Technical Support: Assist sales and project management teams with technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in energy storage, power systems, or related fields.
• Proficiency with ESS components, including inverters, BMS, EMS, and PCS.

Proficiency with protection relays, particularly SEL products.
• Strong understanding of microgrids, grid-tied, and off-grid systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Experience with energy storage projects in commercial and industrial sectors.
• Familiarity with UL, NEC, and other relevant industry standards.
