Maryland Environmental Service is seeking a Senior Electrician - Lead Electrician for the Technical and Environmental Services Group at BWI Marshall Airport. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. The position requires availability for nights, weekends, and emergencies. Job Description:

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Senior Electrician to Lead Electrician to join the Technical and Environmental Services Group at the BWI Marshall Airport field office. Responsibilities include performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment/systems used for a variety of projects at BWI and Martin State Airports as well as other MES operated facilities throughout the stat




This field office is a designated 24/7 emergency essential facility. Therefore, the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather conditions will be required.



Estimated Pay Range:


Senior Electrician: $55,256.40 - $75,978.12


Lead Electrician: $60,782.49 - $83,575.93

Minimum Requirements:


Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a GED equivalency. Additional qualifications include:





The Senior Electrician position requires five (5) years of experience performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment/systems.





The Lead Electrician position requires seven (7) years of experience, including two (2) years of supervisory experience.





Formal training from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field of study may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis for up to three (3) years of the required experience, except supervisory experience. An active journeyperson license, valid in the State of Maryland, is preferred but not required.





Applicants must have the ability to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance and must have a valid driver’s license with less than 5 points. The position will require the ability to perform confined space entry and lift 50 pounds.





This position will be open until filled.





Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.
