PureFuel is seeking a Senior Climate Modeller (Physical Risk) in Cambridge, UK, offering a salary of up to £85k. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Climate modeller to join our client who are a leading brand in this space, specializing in risk and performance for global businesses.

The Role:

This position is a highly important role for a candidate to lead on quantitative modelling throughout climate & nature, as well as focusing on technical direction and company impacts. You will work alongside a talented team of specialists covering their global client base spanning the Fortune 500.

Duties include:
• Driving technical model development within physical risk / climate change
• Building geospatial data solutions
• Focussing on innovation throughout climate scenario analysis and embedding solutions into their existing offering
• Planning actionable strategies for clients including covering resource demands / project planning
• Working collaboratively with various team members

We're looking for:
• 2+ years experience in Climate/Physical Risk modelling
• Degree in relevant field (Physics, Natural Sciences, Engineering, Sustainability etc)
• Experience coding in Python / R / MATLAB
• Experience working with environmental data sets (CMIP6 / SSP)
• Strong communications skills
