Job Description

WBCSD is seeking a Senior Associate for Retention Support in Member Relations in Chicago, IL. The role involves assisting in member engagement and retention through analytics, presentations, and planning targeted activities. The associate will collaborate with various teams to enhance member value and ensure effective communication. Key responsibilities include market analysis, delivering presentations, and executing engagement programs to retain and expand the membership base.

Retaining members is our #1 priority, joined also by priorities to expand their engagement in WBCSD and bring new members into the organization




Job Overview

The Senior Associate, Retention Support within Member Relations will assist the Senior Director, Member Relations – in partnership with other key sales, marketing, communications, and program leaders – with a range of efforts focused on member engagement and retention. The senior associate will provide a range of support, from analytics and modeling to presentations and other packaged recommendations, to helping with the planning and execution of 1:many and 1:few engagement programs and individual member engagement / retention motions.




Main responsibilities

Analytics and Modeling

Assist senior director with analyses around market segmentation, member outcomes and metrics, member feedback and opportunities, and projections for campaign / executional outcomes.Leverage AI to elevate critical member feedback, needs and opportunities, as well as business and market data, and prioritize and present those as key opportunities and actions with our members.


Presentations and Packaged Recommendations

Deliver creative. concise, and compelling presentations and documents for MR/GTM and overall WBCSD leadership, to present analytics, recommendations/options, trade-offs, and required decisionsDeliver creative, concise, and compelling presentations and documents for members, to explain key campaigns, programs, services, or opportunities, or engage them on tailored/per-member actions


Planning and Execution of 1:many / Targeted Engagement and Retention Activities

Partner with MR and Communications/Marketing leaders to plan member retention actions in detail, including scope, targeting, executional elements, required resources/costs, timing and communications, channels/tools, etc.Work with MR leadership, engagement marketers, tech and communications teams, program/services leads, and other internal leaders to ID GTM approach for campaigns, as well as digital/personal/other types of delivery.ID metrics to measure success of initiatives and track and report outcomes


When/If Time, Tactical and Operational Support to the MR Leadership

Ad hoc analytics requestsDocumenting/communicating member relations processesSupporting MR/GTM/LT for WIN (WBCSD transformation) requestsSupport major event execution when/if required and above priorities allow


Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

The candidate should have at least 2-3 years of experience working in an operational / analytics / sales support role with demonstrated ability to perform and present analysis, support external member/client initiative, and execute with clarity, accuracy, and demonstrated results.Strong and demonstrated proficiency with Excel / analytics, PowerPoint / compelling presentations, and AI / harnessing and rapidly analyzing information and identifying opportunities to apply that information.Experience supporting external customers or members; demonstrated member centricity is a top qualification!Previous experience working with a multidisciplinary, multinational team with differing languages, time zones, and cultural expectations would be advantageous.Proactive in building internal networks and partnerships, to establish, maintain, and leverage connections and relationship to achieve results.Demonstrated ability to manage, analyze and professionally present a wide range of information with context and recommendationsExcellent at planning, executing, and tracking progress, with a strong attention to metrics and improvement from those metrics.Clearly communicates and builds trust by valuing others' input, consistently seeking ideas, and effectively conveying the benefits of an idea to cultivate strong stakeholder relationships.


The position is full-time, will conclude on December 20, 2026, and reports to the Senior Director, Member Relations (based in Chicago). Preference is for the senior associate to be based in Chicago or New York, but Amsterdam & London will be considered as well.
