SENIOR ASSOCIATE, OUTREACH

SUMMARY:

The Connecticut Green Bank (hereafter "Green Bank") is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Marketing and Outreach team.

The Senior Associate will focus on outreach efforts designed to grow and nurture the Green Bank's contractor channel, supporting program teams engaging with contractors, and building direct relationships with contractors (particularly those participating in the Green Bank's residential and energy storage programs) or related trade groups. The Senior Associate will support outreach across the organization to support contractor utilization of Green Bank products and to further grow and develop the Green Bank Contractor Network. The person in this role will understand the value of building relationships and community with partners and are excited about leveraging those relationships to drive positive business outcomes.

Contractors are both an important part of our community and an essential partner in serving other Green Bank stakeholders and making our products accessible to them. The Senior Associate will help execute this vision through consistent interaction and engagement with the contractor community.

This is a hybrid position with time split between remote work and a minimum of two days a week in our Hartford, CT office, though occasional in-state travel to meet and engage with contractors will be required. Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing and Outreach, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a unique organization whose mission is to confront climate change in Connecticut.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

Individual responsibilities will include:

Supporting the overarching contractor outreach strategy at the Green Bank including contractor communications, contractor events and engagement, and coordinating with other Green Bank teams as appropriate;Coordinating with Green Bank staff who administer the Smart-E Loan, Energy Storage Solutions, C-PACE, Solar PPA and other programs to support their contractor engagement and governance, developing resources, conducting general outreach and research, or soliciting feedback;Regularly engaging directly with residential contractors and industry groups including through in-person meetings, roundtables, events, virtual meetings, or other engagements to support their growth, facilitate feedback, and build relationships;Supporting internal program teams in engaging with contractors through roundtables, events, meetings or other engagements to support their relationships with Green Bank staff;Working with the Communications team on developing and delivering content, communications and events for the contractor network (e.g., hosting contractor networking events, developing sales training or contractor conferences, etc.);Supporting the further development, promotion, and execution of the Green Bank's contractor co-branding program in coordination with program teams and Marketing & Outreach;Managing and/or responding to incoming contractor inquiries;Recruiting new contractors into Green Bank programs and building strong relationships with them and existing contractors with the goal of contractor retention;Leading efforts to build a more diverse contractor community;Supporting program teams with the development and delivery of contractor trainings as needed;Supporting program teams in programmatic communications in support of contractor governance or process changes;May support the development and execution of community-based outreach campaigns designed to increase adoption of Green Bank products and programs;Collecting, analyzing, and providing contractor feedback to relevant program and product development teams and coordinating with the Green Bank's Marketing team on market research;Representing the Green Bank at events, speaking engagements, etc.; and,Other duties as necessary.The overall duties of this position will be refined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the individual hired and the ongoing needs of the team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

The following minimum qualifications in knowledge, skill and ability are required:

Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills involving the ability to work with other parties, at all levels, internally and externally;Ability to work as part of a team, but also work independently, exercise judgment, think critically and creatively, and take initiative;Marketing skills or a desire to learn such skills, especially in respect to channel-based marketing and co-branding;Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written communications;Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously;Ability to understand various energy-related technologies and financial products;Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment;Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other software programs as necessary.Experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management software a plus;General knowledge of renewable energy and energy efficiency programs including Connecticut specific programs a plus.EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience is required. Demonstrated experience working with energy financing programs or contractors is preferred.

A bachelor's degree may be substituted for three (3) years of professional experience. In this situation, the candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years of full-time work experience.

The Green Bank will determine if this position will be filled at the Associate, Senior Associate, or Associate Manager level based on the experience and qualifications of the individual selected.

Prospective applicants who meet most but not all selection criteria are encouraged to apply for the position, except for those who are not able to be in the Hartford office at least twice a week.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:

This position reports to the Associate Director of Marketing and Outreach.This is a hybrid role split between a minimum of two days per workweek in the Green Bank's Hartford, CT office and remote work, though occasional in-state travel to meet and engage with contractors will be required.Employment includes a State of CT benefits package including generous time-off, health insurance covering medical, dental and vision, retirement, tuition reimbursement for continuing education, and paid leave.Expected salary ranges from $70,000 - $90,000, but the final salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
