Hexcel is currently seeking a Senior Analyst, Sustainability for our Stamford, CT, USA location.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Analyst of Sustainability to join our team. This position reports to the EVP, Chief Legal Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer. The successful candidate will play a critical role in advancing our sustainability initiatives by analyzing data, developing strategies, creating and making presentations to management, and supporting the implementation of sustainability programs. This position requires a deep understanding of sustainability principles and the development of corporate strategy, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
• Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret sustainability data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed sustainability presentations and reports, including metrics on energy usage, waste reduction, and carbon footprint. Assist members of Hexcel’s Sustainability Strategy Team to build and roll out a Sustainability Dashboard to track progress on all goals. Compile ESG and Sustainability reports and disclosures (CSRD, SBTi, CDP Disclosure).
• Strategy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives that align with the Company's goals. Support the implementation of the Company’s programs and projects relating to greenhouse gas emissions reduction, waste reduction, and control of fresh water use in Hexcel plants to foster achievement of our Sustainability Goals. Develop and implement strategy for improvement of Hexcel’s sustainability scores (CDP, ISS, EcoVadis).
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements. Create and disseminate materials to support Hexcel's Sustainability initiatives. Advocate and share this information across various sites within the United States. Provide guidance to plant EHS and commercial managers in compiling responses to customer questionnaires regarding Hexcel's greenhouse gas emissions and other sustainability objectives and practices.
• Project Management: Lead and support sustainability projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards. Work with the Sourcing team to collect supplier certifications for the Hexcel Supplier Code of Conduct (managing the overall process, checking in the documents, tracking who is missing, etc.).
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the Company's sustainability performance.
• Supervise and mentor a summer intern.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, business, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sustainability analysis or a related field.
• Ability to travel to multiple Hexcel sites, up to 20% travel, with no limitations or restrictions.
• Demonstrated skill in managing work with minimal hands-on direction. Project Management experience/skills preferred.
• Ability to quickly build relationships at multiple sites and understand direction from multiple Legal and EHS professionals at different sites.
• Effectively works as a team member.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Current computer literacy including Microsoft Office products and PowerPoint in particular.
