The Climate Restoration Program seeks a part-time, pro-bono communications expert to enhance digital media and fundraising efforts aimed at restoring a safe climate by 2050. Are you a rockstar in digital media and fundraising who wants to end the climate crisis?

If so, come help the Climate Restoration Program build the movement to restore a safe and healthy climate by 2050!

This pro-bono consultancy is to generate public demand for a safe climate, not just safe energy. A safe climate means restoring preindustrial CO2 levels by 2050. And Yes, this is feasible through biomimicry of large-scale CO2-removal processes that Nature has perfected.

Together we’ll use multiple platforms to shift the conversation so that restoring a safe climate becomes the major goal of climate action.

About the Role

This is a part-time (10-20 hours/week), pro-bono, professional role. Scheduling is flexible. You’ll be able to build your portfolio while contributing to one of the most urgent and hopeful missions on Earth.

You’ll support our digital communications and fundraising across channels — from social media and newsletters to events and campaigns. You’ll collaborate with our team and creative partners to ensure consistent, mission-aligned messaging.

Key Responsibilities
• Draft and schedule newsletters and campaign emails
• Create and post content for one or more social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube)
• Identify key influencers and how to approach them to support climate restoration
• Develop short-form videos and visual assets
• Monitor analytics and engagement to refine messaging
• Read and watch our educational resources to familiarize yourself with climate restoration and our messaging (and climate in general if that’s not your background)

Required Skills & Experience
• Top-notch writing and editing skills across formats—web, email, newsletter, social
• Expertise with social media as well as email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp, Canva, Google Analytics, and preferably video editing tools)
• Experience with digital fundraising
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including willingness to swiftly give and respond to feedback.
• Persistence! For instance, in courting key climate influencers to repost, adopt messaging about climate restoration

Also good to have:
• Facility with video-editing software, podcasting
• Media-relations experience such as placing op-eds
• Experience with outreach to youth
• Experience in local, national advocacy

If you’d like to be at the leading edge of climate action, please submit a resume plus links to your portfolio and/or samples of your content and social-media work. You can send links in your application or directly to carole@crprogram.org

Feel free to submit your resume and portfolio directly to Carole@crprogram.org.

We’re looking forward to meeting you!
