Nanyang Technological University in Singapore is seeking a Research Assistant with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, or a related field. The Centre for Research and Development in Learning at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (CRADLE@NTU) seeks applicants with a Bachelors (Honours) degree in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience or related field from a university of good standing for a Research Assistant Position. The successful candidate will contribute to the coordination, implementation, and administration of research projects, working closely with researchers, collaborators, schools, and other stakeholders. This role involves supporting research activities, participant recruitment, data collection, project administration, and maintaining accurate research records. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and support the day-to-day operations and administration of funded research projects to ensure timely delivery of project objectives and milestones. Liaise and collaborate with project collaborators, schools, external institutions, and other stakeholders to facilitate project implementation and research activities. Organize and coordinate meetings with project stakeholders, including preparation of meeting materials and documentation of key outcomes. Conduct literature reviews and support the preparation of research reports, project updates, presentations, and other project deliverables. Prepare, submit, and maintain research ethics applications, amendments, and related documentation in accordance with institutional requirements. Support participant recruitment, scheduling, and study administration activities. Collect research data using psychological, cognitive, and neuroimaging methodologies, including cognitive assessments, MRI, and functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS). Maintain accurate and organized project records, research databases, and documentation in compliance with research governance and data management requirements. Support data management, storage, cybersecurity, and data security processes in accordance with institutional policies. Assist with the procurement and inventory management of research-related equipment, materials, and services. Monitor project timelines and coordinate research activities to support the achievement of project milestones and reporting requirements. Prepare and coordinate research progress reports and other project-related documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Provide day-to-day guidance and coordination for undergraduate student assistants involved in project activities, where applicable. Undertake other research, operational, and administrative duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator. Requirements: Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Neuroscience, Education, or a related discipline. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Good organizational and project coordination skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within established timelines. Experience with data management, record-keeping, and administrative processes. Demonstrated ability to learn new research methods, tools, and technologies as required. Preferred Qualifications and Experience Experience conducting cognitive, psychological, or neuropsychological assessments. Experience working with children or in school-based research settings. Experience with neuroimaging techniques such as functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and/or functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS). Experience supporting research administration, ethics submissions, or project coordination. Additional Information The role may require travel to schools, partner institutions, or research sites for data collection and project activities. Occasional work outside standard office hours, including weekends, may be required to support research activities. Time-off arrangements will be provided in accordance with university policies.
