PER, Private Equity Recruitment is seeking a Renewable Energy Development Associate in Mexico City to manage solar and energy projects. The role includes project management, budget establishment, financial modeling, and communication with stakeholders. Candidates should have experience in energy project development in Mexico and a relevant degree. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are required.
About our client
We are working with a premier service provider of an exclusive fund management company focused on energy infrastructure assets throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. Our client is seeking a Renewable Energy Development Associate to work directly with senior management in the development of a solar and energy project in Mexico. This role will involve participating in all stages of the project, from origination and land acquisition to interconnection processes and general project permitting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage complex renewable energy projects across multiple locations in Mexico.
• Establish and manage development budgets and financial models for each project and portfolio of projects.
• Create and present management-level presentations.
• Contribute to portfolio development management, monitoring financial and commercial factors.
• Manage internal and external documentation requirements related to the projects (including government agencies).
• Perform analysis for business development focused on the electricity market and renewables.
• Attend internal and external meetings with associations, government, landowners, land agents, and others.
• Participate in energy and infrastructure conferences and other marketing initiatives.
• Communicate with vendors and internal support teams for project implementation and other technical support.
• Participate in the due diligence process for renewable energy projects.

Requirements:
• Experience in developing energy and infrastructure projects in Mexico (solar and wind) is essential.
• Knowledge on permitting, licensing, land procurement, and technical aspects for energy and infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Proactive leader with strong financial and modeling skills.
• Superior analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical thinker and detail-oriented.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
