Renewable Energy Design Engineer

Electrical Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Renewable Energy Design Engineer in Portland, OR, to design solar energy battery storage systems. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and experience with AC/DC cable systems and BESS software integration. Responsibilities include project optimization and layout design. Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) has openings to support our renewable energy industry leading team in the design of solar energy battery storage systems (BESS). ECI is a nationwide consulting and EPC firm that is one of the largest providers of engineering-construction services to the renewable energy industry with over 50 projects currently in progress. We are responsible for some of the world's largest and most complicated battery storage systems being constructed nationwide. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with experience in conceptualization, ratings and design of AC and DC cable systems, applicable code requirements and standards. Experience with software integration of BESS with solar and electrical grid is highly desired. Responsibilities include optimization of projects, calculations, physical and electrical layout. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; strong organization and planning skills; ability to collaborate with other discipline teams; commitment to quality and accuracy; and a willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules. The successful applicant may be subject to client-mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving is required; therefore, the successful applicant will be subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements.
