Job Description
CBRE is seeking a Remote Energy Management Specialist to implement energy and sustainability strategies for a large industrial client across North America. The role involves developing programs to meet emissions reduction goals, conducting energy assessments, and collaborating with teams to align projects with sustainability objectives. Candidates should have a relevant degree and at least five years of experience in energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
Are you passionate about energy and sustainability initiatives? We are looking for a dedicated Energy Management Specialist to lead and enhance the implementation of energy and sustainability strategies for a large industrial client with a portfolio of over 700 properties across North America. This is an exciting opportunity to drive meaningful change in achieving aggressive emissions reduction targets by 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive energy and sustainability program to meet challenging emissions reduction goals.
• Conduct thorough energy assessments and create actionable proposals to optimize energy efficiency.
• Communicate energy plans and performance through detailed presentations to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and engagement.
• Collaborate with facility operations teams and the global CBRE platform to align energy projects with overall sustainability objectives.
• Monitor energy and water usage, waste diversion rates, and related spending trends, providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Manage energy procurement and the integration of new technologies within the sustainability framework.
• Engage and mentor team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of emissions reporting, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and building systems.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on writing and presenting complex information clearly and effectively.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret detailed documents and perform complex financial analyses.
• Experience in carbon footprint reporting and sustainability initiatives is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Supervision and development of individual team members within the operational team.
• Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching to enhance skills and competencies.
