The Role

We are looking for a talented Registered Surveyor to join our Urban Communities team in Brisbane, to provide industry knowledge and effective project management skills to support the activities of our Surveying team.

Reporting to the National Manager, your key responsibilities include:
• Undertaking field work duties and assisting in the preparation of survey plans and topography surveys
• Collecting, analysing and collating survey data
• Producing calculations and plans
• Applying project management principles to deliver assigned projects to the required standard in a timely manner
• Ensuring all surveying tasks are meet with appropriate technical standards in-line with client requirements and SMEC’s policies and procedures
• Proactively collaborating with appropriate team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables

About You

With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in a consulting environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change. Suitable applicants will have:
• Relevant Surveying qualifications
• Registration with the Surveyors Board in Queensland
• 3 + years' Surveying experience, with a relevant project portfolio
• Ability to use basic theoretical knowledge of Surveying principles to analyse and interpret information
• High level of field survey accuracy
• Current Australian Driver's License
• White Card
