Job Description

Carbon Clean is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in Tarragona, Spain. Responsibilities include managing costs, budgets, and reports for a fabrication subcontract, assessing risks, and advising on contract performance. Candidates should have extensive QS experience in fabrication or construction, be degree qualified or have equivalent experience, and be able to work independently on-site.
The successful job holder will be responsible for:
• Ownership and control of quantified work, cost and invoice substantiation for a major fabrication subcontract
• Monitor fabrication costs, budgets, and forecasts, providing regular reports to management and project management office function.
• Work closely with project teams to assess and manage potential risks and variations in fabrication scope.
• Provide project management team with advice and assistance on all matters relating to contract cost performance in accordance with relevant contract terms.
• Form effective working relationships with sub-contractor cost management and invoicing personnel.
• Assist with maintaining the contractual Programme for cost phasing, forecasting and reporting project commercial performance.

Requirements

Person Specification:
• Extensive experience as a QS, on process/chemical/energy fabrication or construction sites.
• Correlating level experience of engineering commercial contracts
• Degree qualified within a relevant discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience
• Demonstrated self-starter, able to operate independently supporting and interfacing within a wider, project team.
• Used to spending significant periods of time on site – and required to in this role
