Job Description

Position Overview:

Perform inspections and testing of products to ensure quality standards are met. Identify and report actual or potential quality issues and trends. Place suspect products on hold and communicate findings to necessary personnel.

Essential

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Safety and Quality Goals:
Meet targets in safety, quality, production, performance, and cost.
• Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety rules, use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and identify/correct safety concerns.
• Training:
Complete computer-based training (CBTs) and behavioral safety observations (BSOs) by deadlines.
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP):
Adhere to GMP policies and understand AIB guidelines as required.
• Inspection and Testing:
Collect product samples for evaluation, testing, and data recording.
• Data Entry & Analysis:
Accurately enter data into SPC software, analyze trends, and identify potential quality issues.
• Defect Management:
Place non-conforming products on hold (HFI) and escalate issues to QA Manager and Shift Supervisor.
• Communication:
Effectively communicate findings to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Product Knowledge:
Understand finished product specifications, packaging requirements, and quality expectations.
• Material Testing:
Mix and test bottle lubricants to ensure proper application and results.
• Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean and organized work area to comply with quality and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; some post-secondary education preferred. Prior quality assurance experience preferred.
• Interpersonal Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and interpret reports, emails, and memos.
• Technical Skills:
Strong mathematical ability; ability to perform calculations such as averages, sums, and spec limits. Capable of learning and using MS Office, RealSPC, SAP, and other company software.
• Other Requirements:
Ability to interpret instructions, use independent judgment, and make decisions under production pressure. Must be flexible for 12-hour shifts, weekends, and schedule adjustments.
• Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand/walk for up to 11 hours per shift, lift/carry up to 50 lbs., and push/pull up to 900 lbs. occasionally using a hydraulic hand jack. Must frequently squat, bend, kneel, and reach.
• Licenses:
Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid forklift license.
