This position is part of the Quality Control department located in Fargo, ND and will be an on-site position. At Aldevron, we combine best-in-class products and service with the ideal operating environment to lay the groundwork for vital new discoveries worldwide. You will be a part of the Quality Control Environmental Monitoring Team and report to the QC Environmental Monitoring Supervisor, and be responsible for sampling, detecting, quantifying, and identifying possible contaminants that may interfere with the quality of the product during the different stages of the manufacturing process.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Perform routine and non-routine Microbiological and Analytical Microbiology sampling, which will include environmental monitoring (viable air, viable surface, total particulates, water sampling, compressed gas monitoring).
• Utilize proper aseptic technique for sample collection and preparation. Take on responsibility of plate incubations and be able to perform plate enumeration to attain final viable EM results.
• Make detailed observations in support of Alert, Action, and OOS result investigations. Review and approve test results against established limits and Specifications.

The essential requirements of the job include:
• 0-1 years of experience in microbiology or relevant QC experience in a GMP laboratory setting preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or related scientific field preferred
• Working knowledge of aseptic practices and techniques

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Build and utilize strong working relationships with other departments
• Ability to multi-task and is detail oriented
• Ability to work independently and as a team member

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
• Ability to use hands, stand, sit, and bend.
• Comfortable working in a clean room environment
