PV Design Engineer

INTEC Energy Solutions is seeking a PV Design Engineer in Brisbane, QLD, Australia. We are seeking a PV Design Engineer to join our Business Development Team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to optimise performance and ensure compliance with tender requirements. You will play a critical role in supporting our constant stream of tenders, working closely with sales and development teams to create high-quality designs for submission.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Design Solar PV and BESS systems that align with client requirements, optimizing performance and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand and Australian standards, industry regulations, and WHS requirements.
• Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to develop technical solutions for tender submissions.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents, ensuring designs are detailed and technically sound.
• Develop solar distribution board designs that meet New Zealand and Australian standards.
• Conduct technical due diligence, ensuring all system designs meet performance, safety, and connection requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a PV/BESS Design Engineer
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in PowerCAD, AutoCAD, PVSyst, and Helioscope for digital engineering and modelling.
• Experience in designing utility-scale solar and integrated energy storage systems.
