Job Description:

As a Pulp Innovation Associate at Craste, you will play a critical role in researching and developing new sustainable packaging products made from crop waste. You will work closely with our R&D team to design and test new products, troubleshoot any issues that arise during the development process, and ensure that our products meet our high standards for sustainability and quality.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct research to identify new raw materials that can be used in our packaging products.
• Work with the R&D team to develop new product formulations and processes.
• Design and execute experiments to test the properties of our products.
• Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and make recommendations for product improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that product development aligns with company goals and objectives.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to sustainable packaging.
• Participate in meetings, presentations, and discussions to share progress and provide input on project timelines and priorities.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in materials science, pulp and paper engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working in a laboratory setting, conducting experiments and analyzing data.
• Familiarity with sustainable packaging materials and technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of statistics and data analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python) is a plus.
