Job Description Overview of the job As Packaging Lead, you'll drive breakthrough packaging innovations for our Consumer Health brands in India, from strategy to commercialization.

Responsibilities Of The Role

Lead packaging initiatives and develop/execute roadmaps for all Consumer Health categories, aligned with business objectives
Drive innovative packaging solutions (formats, materials, designs) to enhance consumer experience, functionality, and shelf appeal, while monitoring market trends and best practices
Lead end-to-end packaging commercialization from pilot trials to full-scale manufacturing, ensuring robust scale-up, risk mitigation, and speed-to-market delivery
Lead critical root cause analysis and resolution of complex packaging-related quality issues, ensuring product integrity across the portfolio
Establish and drive a "Right First Time" approach in packaging validation, dramatically reducing development cycles and commercialization costs.
Benchmark and implement global best practices in packaging, positioning the company as a leader in innovation and efficiency within the Indian market
Drive bottom-line growth through strategic cost optimization initiatives and identify value engineering opportunities
Support 2030 sustainability goals via eco-friendly solutions and ensure compliance with India's Plastic Waste Management (PWM) Rules and other regulations
Partner closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, QA, and R&D to align strategies and operational capabilities
Lead governance, execution, and timely delivery of packaging innovation and commercialization projects, including drafting, reviewing, and approving specifications

Role Requirements

Relevant degree in Packaging Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy Bachelor or Masters with 3-5 year in the given scope of responsibility.
Proven experience in leading packaging initiatives across diverse consumer health categories.
Demonstrated experience in driving packaging innovation and market excellence.
Experience in end-to-end packaging commercialization, from pilot to full-scale manufacturing
Experience in drafting, reviewing, and approving packaging specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Proficient in Enovia, Artios CAD, and internal system knowledge of VEEVA Quality, Production, RCC creation till implementation
Capability to lead end-to-end commercialization, ensuring robust scale-up, risk mitigation, and speed-to-market
Strength in leadership, strategic and analytical thinking
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, cross-functional collaboration and influence
