We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Protected Resources and Aquaculture Environmental Analyst to support a long-term contract with NOAA Fisheries in Alaska. This position offers a hybrid work schedule from Anchorage, contingent upon contract award.

The Environmental Analyst will support NOAA Fisheries’ Alaska Region Aquaculture and Protected Resources Divisions through technical writing, regulatory analysis, and interagency collaboration to promote marine resource conservation and sustainable aquaculture development.

Responsibilities include:Conducting ESA Section 7 consultations for aquaculture projects.Assisting in environmental reviews and programmatic consultations with agencies like the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.Participating in stakeholder meetings and interagency discussions.Preparing NEPA documents including Environmental Impact Statements and Assessments.Reviewing projects affecting marine mammals under MMPA and FWCA.Analyzing data to inform Aquaculture Opportunity Areas.Providing technical assistance and maintaining consultation records.Preparing progress reports and supporting contract invoicing.Minimum qualifications:Undergraduate degree in biological sciences, conservation, wildlife management, or related field.Knowledge of ESA, MMPA, NEPA.Experience with ESA Section 7 consultations and environmental compliance review.Strong communication and organizational skills.Preferred qualifications:Master’s degree or higher in relevant fields.Experience in Alaska marine region or NOAA projects.Experience with regulatory agencies and NEPA/ESA document preparation.Ability to travel and obtain security clearance.About Lynker: Lynker is an employee-owned small business specializing in scientific and technical services in hydrology, geospatial analysis, and resource management.
