HR Green is seeking a Transportation Civil Engineer Project Manager in St. Louis, MO, to oversee highway projects. Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Transportation Civil Engineer Project Manager to join our team in St. Louis, MO. This role involves overseeing and spearheading diverse highway projects within the Transportation/Highway Design domain.
Key Responsibilities
1. Establish and nurture connections with key stakeholders, including government agencies and private industry entities such as MoDOT and county-level clients.
2. Develop comprehensive scopes of services, detailed project budgets, and contracts for transportation infrastructure projects.
3. Ensure timely and budget-conscious completion of each project or assigned task, actively monitoring schedules and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Conduct formal Project Reviews, providing leadership and oversight for highway projects of varying complexity.
5. Manage project teams, assign tasks, schedules, and budgets, including coordination with subcontractors. Conduct project kick-off and interim status meetings.
6. Offer constructive feedback and mentorship to project team members through Project Staff Reviews.
7. Ensure task accuracy through adherence to HR Green QA/QC processes.
8. Proactively identify and resolve technical, schedule, or financial issues through effective communication with project staff.
9. Assist clients in bidding or contractor selection and actively monitor construction while supervising field personnel.
Technical Project Delivery
1. Independently execute engineering tasks within federal, state, and local criteria, showcasing professional judgment.
2. Hold technical responsibility for major design tasks that meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
3. Sign and seal engineering documents as an authorized representative of the company.
4. Independently communicate on technical matters with clients.
Business Development
1. Cross-market firm services to clients and actively participate in professional society activities related to transportation engineering.
2. Contribute to the creation of marketing plans and maintain accurate records of marketing activities with individual clients.
3. Identify project opportunities, provide input into Go/No Go decisions, and participate in the preparation of engineering services proposals, including interviews and cost estimations.
4. May have sales goals based on experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar field required.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in managing transportation projects.
- Must hold a current, valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and have the ability to obtain licensure in multiple states where HR Green conducts business.
