Job Summary




The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing rooftop solar projects from site survey through commissioning. The role includes managing contract installation teams, ensuring quality and safety, coordinating with customers and electricity board officials, and delivering projects on time.




Key Responsibilities




Technical




* Conduct rooftop site surveys and technical feasibility studies.

* Prepare system layouts, BOQ, and material requirements.

* Verify project drawings and technical documentation.

* Ensure compliance with project specifications.




Project Execution




* Plan and schedule installation activities.

* Coordinate contract electricians, technicians, and helpers.

* Monitor daily project progress.

* Ensure timely project completion.




Quality & Safety




* Maintain installation quality standards.

* Ensure electrical safety and PPE compliance.

* Conduct final inspection before project handover.




Customer & Documentation




* Coordinate with customers throughout the project.

* Support TNEB/net-metering documentation and follow-up.

* Assist with PM Surya Ghar subsidy documentation where applicable.

* Prepare daily and weekly project reports.




Qualification




* Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / EEE.

* Experience in rooftop solar projects preferred.




Experience




* 1–3 years in Solar EPC or Electrical Projects.

* Fresh candidates with strong technical knowledge may also apply.




Skills Required




* Knowledge of rooftop solar systems.

* Basic electrical troubleshooting.

* MS Excel and report preparation.

* Good communication skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects.

* Problem-solving and leadership skills.




Requirements




* Two-wheeler and valid driving licence.

* Willingness to travel as required

* Ability to supervise contract installation teams.




Salary




* ₹15,000–₹20,000 per month (based on experience).

* Performance incentive of ₹300–₹500 per successfully completed residential project.

* Travel allowance as per company policy.
