The Specifics of the Role
Responsible for the delivery of projects from design concept through final completion of deliverables and submissions with a high level of qualityAble to conduct analysis of various data sets, develop and document design and urban planning concept, and create project presentationsCoordinates with a multi-disciplinary design teamAssists with project management and serves as a key client liaisonProvides technical assistance on topics related to planning, the regulatory environment, urban design and site design for a variety of project types and scalesAttends meetings with public- and private-sector clients, including governmental entitiesRepresents LJC in the community and at civic eventsFamiliarity with public engagement tools and processesApplies planning knowledge and practiceDevelops intentional civic and public engagement tools and processesPractices LJC’s core values of integrity, humility and fearlessnessRequirements
A Designer at LJC possess:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field3+ years of relevant, demonstrable experienceDemonstrated competence with AutoCAD/Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS and 3D modeling toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to graphically explain ideasCompetent presentation skillsDemonstrates a consistent understanding of the delivery and implementation of design thinkingSome Things You Should Know
