Project Engineer

Spencer Ogden is hiring a Project Engineer for overseeing electrical engineering projects in the renewables sector. Responsibilities include managing project design, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring project completion, with limited travel required. Candidates should have an electrical engineering background, experience in renewable energy, and proficiency in AutoCAD. The position is remote with occasional site visits.
A great opportunity to oversee high-level projects with a focus on electrical engineering in the renewables sector. This role involves managing the design and coordination of projects, working with 3rd party vendors, and ensuring successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee high-level projects, with 10% of the time spent on preliminary design and the remainder spent managing 3rd party vendors.
• Ensure timely completion of projects, providing leadership from the design phase through to construction.
• Travel to project sites for occasional site visits—typically one day every other month.

Required Skills & Experience:
• Electrical Engineering background.
• Experience in renewable energy projects is essential, with substation experience considered a plus.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, with 3-6 years being the ideal range. More experience is also acceptable.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proven experience in the design and execution of solar plant projects above 5MW.
• Hands-on involvement in projects during the construction phase.
