Job Description

Thomas & Hutton seeks a Project Coordinator/Office Administrator in Buford, GA, to support their engineering consulting team. Responsibilities include project coordination, communication, administrative tasks, and client interactions. Candidates should have a relevant degree and 2+ years of experience in project coordination, preferably in engineering. The role requires strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Planner. This position is not remote and involves a set work schedule.

Thomas & Hutton is seeking an organized and proactive Project Coordinator/Office Administrator in Buford, Georgia to support our engineering consulting team in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. The Project Coordinator will assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking project progress, ensuring seamless communication between engineers, clients, and stakeholders. This role requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination Duties
• Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes to ensure clear communication and follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering team for technical support including submittal paperwork and coordination.
• Support Engineering and Survey Staff with project proposals.
• Assist in risk identification and mitigation planning to keep projects on track.
• Maintain project management tools and databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Support client interactions by addressing inquiries and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Administrative Duties
• Coordinate Office Events, Lunch and Learns for the Buford Office
• Manage and order office supplies as necessary.
• Answer phone and direct clients to the appropriate T&H representative.
• Coordinate reprographics with third party vendors, sending and receiving plan submittals to clients and local municipalities.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in project coordination, preferably in an engineering or consulting environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Planner project management software
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with technical teams and clients.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team setting.
• Knowledge of engineering consulting processes or technical terminology is a plus.
• Ability to work 7:30AM - 5:30PM Monday-Thursday and 7:30AM - 11:30AM Fridays with occasional overtime.
