Job Description
Ahlstrom is seeking a Product Development and TCS Engineer for their EMEA Transportation Filtration team in Turin, Italy. The role involves promoting safety, integrating sustainability, fostering collaboration, managing project timelines, and coordinating with external institutions. Candidates should have an M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant field, at least 5 years of experience, and strong project management skills. The position requires fluency in English and may involve travel.
Ahlstrom seeks a motivated Product Development and TCS Engineer for EMEA Transportation Filtration team. Key responsibilities include championing a strong safety culture, integrating sustainability principles, fostering cross-functional collaboration, managing project timelines and coordinating projects with external institutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Champion a strong safety culture throughout the organization
• Integrate sustainability principles into all product development activities and projects
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to facilitate product development synergies and cross-selling opportunities for new products
• Collaborate with the EMEA Product Development team to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions that enhance value for customers, owners and employees
• Manage project timelines, milestones, budgets and key product development KPIs
• Coordinate projects in partnership with external institutions, including universities, government research departments, private research institutes and industry associations, exploring funding opportunities when applicable
Requirements
• M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in project management, product development, technical customer service, or R&D, preferably within the automotive industry
• Proven project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Results-oriented and customer-focused mindset
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication, networking and interpersonal skills
• Dynamic, flexible and proactive attitude
• Strong problem-solving abilities and expertise in development methodologies
• Fluency in English; knowledge of German is a plus
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed
